Nature of the Ministry: Director of the Student LINC team with Campus Crusade for Christ, which functions as the National Office within the US  Campus ministry. Gilbert writes: “Here’s what it means. Most of CCC’s  campus staff work on about 150 campuses around the US. But there are about 200 staff charged with launching and resourcing ministries on the rest of the campuses in the country. There are 4200! A tall order. I am part of the team that works in a catalytic way, mobilizing local volunteers to lead the ministries on those non-staffed campuses. I help train and equip our staff to know how to find the right kind of volunteer leader, qualify them for leadership and resource them as they coach them to lead  their  ministry.”

Prayer Requests: Continued growth in the effectiveness of their staff, the number of ministries launched, and the number of students being reached  for Christ; that each member of the family would walk with God and honor Christ; pray for safety in travel, for good health, and for effectiveness as Gilbert trains and resources others in ministry; pray for Gilbert’s preparation for a series of talks he’ll be giving at the Australian National Conference in April (seven talks over five days); pray also for their personal support.  (see  Financial  Information  for  details).

Financial Information: The Kingsley’s are responsible to raise all of their  salary, the expenses of communicating with donors and the administrative costs of their being on staff, as well as their health benefit package. About 80% comes from individuals with church missions budgets making up the balance.  Last year, their annual financial goal to cover salary and ministry expenses was $77,500.00. $71,200.00 came in. The amount for this year has not yet  been  calculated.

Personal notes: The Kingsley’s oldest son Rick (age 20) is a sophomore at the University of Florida and is a leader with Campus Crusade for Christ there. Will (age 17) is a Junior in High School and is a huddle captain for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as well as being involved in cross-country and student government. Tommy (age 11) is in 5th grade, loves  contemporary  music,  and  is  not  afraid  to  tell  others  about his faith.
